Fastco Motorsports was founded by Glenn Chaplin in January of 2008. Starting with three 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GTs with factory support from Hyundai Canada and race prepared by GT Racing, they were ready to take on the competitive Super Touring field in the Canadian Touring Car Championship.
This however was not the first time Glenn Chaplin threw himself full-bore into the world of auto racing. His orange 1971 Datsun 510 was a fixture at Circuit Mont-Tremblant back when F1 and Can-Am ruled the roost. He quickly realized that racing was not only his hobby but lifeblood and passion. By 1978, Glenn decided to stop racing his Datsun and replaced it with baby diapers and strollers.
Exactly 30 years later Fastco motorsports was launched and Glenn would now be racing with his son Lee who was the same age as young Glenn when he started.
Today their stable houses three well known racing thoroughbreds, one Mustang Boss 302S and two Boss 302Rs. One of which is the original Ford Racing factory race car.
This significant increase in firepower bumped them up to the Supercar class of the CTCC where they run against Porsches, Camaros and even the occasional Ferrari.
Their race schedule targets well known eastern Canadian tracks like Mosport, GP3R and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. They can also be seen racing down south during winter at Daytona and Sebring. Their inaugural race was in Supercar class at the historical Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières street event in 2014 and their results were outstanding. Lee driving the # 75 finished in 1st place and Glenn in # 74 finished in 3rd, becoming the first father-son podium in CTCC history.
