Project Manager
Status: Full-time, permanent position | Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC

OVERVIEW
The Project Manager’s mandate is to serve the company’s strategic vision and deliver critical projects—
contributing directly to growth initiatives, customer engagement, asset development, and continuous improvement—for and throughout the organization.
With aggressive growth targets, Fastco is primarily focused on market expansion, systems integration, process optimization and automation, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the PMO Director, this role will work most closely with cross-functional stakeholders, business analysts, software developers, and leadership, to drive projects across planning, execution, quality assurance and delivery processes—leveraging standards-based professional oversight, expertise and experience.
The Project Manager must produce and maintain organizational process assets, precedence & schedule network diagrams, project & resource calendars, other documentation, including risk registers and lessons learned.
As a primary custodian of the organization’s Project Management Information System, the Project Manager must diligently document, track, measure and communicate project health, details, dates, deadlines and KPIs to ensure earned value delivery against requirements and project constraints. The organization is trending increasingly agile within a Microsoft Azure and SAP Business ByDesign cloud environment. Strong technical acumen is an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiation & Planning | 15%
- Understanding requirements, assumptions, constraints of projects and programs
- Developing project schedules based on scopes, dependencies & milestones
- Developing resource, communication, procurement, quality, change, risk, and over-arching program management plans based on available information and planning / kick-off meetings
- Estimating and planning resource requirements and allocations: staff & schedule
- Developing Gantt charts, entity relationship diagrams, notes, and documentation
- Identifying risks and exposure; planning contingencies
Executing & Monitoring | 70%
- Executing project management plan; managing tasks and quality control
- Managing risk, change requests and corrective actions
- Measuring and disclosing performance at key intervals and milestones
- Maintaining and managing an issue log; capturing lessons learned
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships and communications
Closing & Documentation | 15%
- Confirming program scope & deliverables were achieved with project sponsors
- Obtaining feedback from stakeholders
- Compiling project data and earned value metrics for postmortem presentation
- Collating and cataloging lessons learned documented throughout the program
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
- 2-3 years of experience in managing complex projects, programs and assets
- Experience in gathering, documenting, and organizing detailed, well-articulated, full-scope program documentation and management plans
- Experience managing constraints: scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Experience with a PMIS, e.g. Wrike, Asana, Jira, Confluence, Monday, etc.
- Familiarity with of ERP, CRM, project management, e-commerce, cloud technologies and terminologies, with proficiency in MS Office 365
- General management skills across product, supply planning, sales, marketing, logistics, warehousing, human resources, and accounting domains
- Strong interpersonal skills: emotional intelligence, motivation, communication, influence, leadership, negotiation
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, with sharp attention to detail
- Nimble and willing to take initiative with prevailing positive attitude & adaptability
- Bilingual (French and English), with excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project / Program Management accreditation (PMP, PRINCE 2, PgMP, CAPM) —completed, inprogress or planned
- Topical knowledge of Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen
- Sales orientation, with customer-first attitude
- Supply chain familiarity, with process optimization inclination
- Process Improvement accreditation (Lean Six Sigma, CMMI)—completed, in-progress or planned
- Bachelor’s degree, college diploma (or equivalent), in a Production Operations Management (POM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Management Information Systems (MIS), Business / Commerce, engineering or mathematics field, an asset
- Experience with SAP, ideally SAP Business ByDesign or other (cloud) ERPs
