Talent Acquisition Specialist


Status: Full-time, Permanent Position | Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC
Report To: Director of Human Resources | Service: Human Resources

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organization. You will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers. The goal is to ensure that we have a highly skilled and diverse workforce that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform all other related tasks requested by their immediate supervisor and works in close collaboration with the HR Coordinator and the Payroll department.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Talent Acquisition and welcoming new employees | 90%

  • Utilize various channels to source potential candidates, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough screening of resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess candidates' skills and experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and create detailed job descriptions.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and best practices.
  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand their departmental staffing needs.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of open positions and offer insights into the talent market.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our HCM system (Dayforce)
  • Generate regular reports on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate conversion rates.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Promote and support diversity and inclusion initiatives in the hiring process.
  • Performs reference checks as needed.
  • Facilitates the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating terms of employment.
  • Manages the onboarding and new hire process.


Administration and job fairs | 10%

  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Prepare job descriptions in French and English.
  • Ensure filing.
  • Participate in job fairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Highly computer literate, with emails, MS Office and HCM Software (Dayforce).
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or in a similar recruitment role.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, employment laws, and HR best practices.
  • Perfectly bilingual (ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.)
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 

CONDITIONS

  • This hybrid position entails working three days per week from the office and two days per week remotely.
